Putin and Egypt’s interim president discuss bilateral cooperation

Telephone conversation was initiated by the Russian side, discussed Middle East situation

MOSCOW, November 16, /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin discussed on the telephone with Egypt’s Interim President Adli Mansur issues of bilateral cooperation and the situation in the Middle East.

The Kremlin’s press service reports on Saturday that the telephone conversation was initiated by the Russian side. The two presidents highlighted “the mutual intention to develop further the bilateral cooperation” and appreciated results of the negotiations on November 13-14 in Cairo, in which Russian and Egyptian foreign and defence ministers participated.

“They also discussed the situation in the Middle East, including the situation in Syria,” the press service said.
