TOKYO, October 5 (Itar-Tass) - Russia and Japan have been cooperating actively in global security, including in security at the Korean Peninsula, Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich told reporters on Saturday.
“We all are concerned about North Korea’s nuclear problem,” he said. “We have been cooperating actively on this topic with Japan.”
Dvorkovich said also that at the upcoming in Indonesia summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Organisation (APEC) leaders of Russia and Japan would have another meeting.
“The leaders of our countries have met earlier this year, it will be their fourth meeting,” he said. “And on the margins of the APEC summit the participants, besides global problems, will discuss bilateral issues - both in economic cooperation and in global security.”
