BEIJING, September 23 (Itar-Tass) - China has denounced shellfire that strikes the Russian embassy in Damascus and expresses condolences to all those injured in the attack, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said on Monday.
“We express serious concerns over the shellfire attack on the Russian embassy in Syria. We denounce such actions and offer our condolences to the victims of the attack,” he said.
“We call on all parties to observe the Vienna Convention in order to ensure safety of diplomats in Syria. We call for stopping fire and starting dialogue to stabilize the situation in the country,” Hong said.
