Russian warships leave Iran

Two days earlier, the Pacific Fleet’s support ships Pechenga and Foty Krylov had left Oman’s port of Salalah

MOSCOW, April 24 (Itar-Tass) - Russian Pacific Fleet ships have left the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas, where they paid a two-day visit, the press service of the Eastern Military District told ITAR-TASS on Wednesday, April 24.

“The group of Pacific Fleet ships consisting of the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Panteleyev and large landing ships Peresvet and Admiral Nevelskoi has ended a scheduled visit to the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas,” a press service official said.

Two days earlier, the Pacific Fleet’s support ships Pechenga and Foty Krylov had left Oman’s port of Salalah.

The warships and support vessels of the Russian Pacific Fleet will meet at the designated place in the Indian Ocean. After that they will head for the Mediterranean Sea to join the Russian naval task force there.
