Ukraine’s election commission to publish official results of election on April 30

In accordance with the Ukrainian law, the Central Election Commission must publish the official election results no later than ten days after the election day

KIEV, April 22. /TASS/. Ukraine’s Central Election Commission will publish the official results of the runoff stage of the Ukrainian presidential election on April 30, deputy head of the commission Yevgeny Radchenko informed.

"We can determine and declare the results approximately on April 30," he told the Ukrainian 1+1 TV channel.

The preliminary results of the election after the ballot count "will be available approximately in two-three days," he added.

In accordance with the Ukrainian law, the Central Election Commission must publish the official election results no later than ten days after the election day, that is, before May 1, 2019.

After counting 25.72% of electoral ballots, the Central Election Commission informs that Vladimir Zelensky is leading in the polls with 73.22% of the vote, while his opponent Pyotr Poroshenko received 24.44% of the vote.

The voter turnout in the runoff stage of the election reached 62.07%.
