KIEV, March 31. /TASS/. As many as 43.86% of Ukrainian citizens have cast their ballots in Sunday’s presidential election, the country’s Central Election Commission reported.

Voter turnout at the election (15:00 local time) stands at 43.86%, says the Electoral Commission.

This preliminary data includes information on eight out of 199 districts. During the 2014 presidential election, the voter turnout was 40.36% at 15:00 local time.

Ukraine's presidential election is underway and polls will close at 20:00 local time on Sunday. A record number of candidates - 39 - are running in the presidential race.
