Russia’s UN envoy points out EU’s unconstructive behavior

Earlier, the European Parliament approved a report , which, in particular, urged to abandon the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project

UN, March 12. /TASS/. Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya stated that Moscow is starting to doubt the European Union's ability to play a constructive role at a global level.

"In the last few years, the European Union’s ability to play a constructive role on the continent and in the world has become rather questionable," he said during the UN Security Council briefing on cooperation between the UN and regional and sub-regional organizations, attended by the EU’s foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini. "There is an impression that this influential and economically powerful union cannot find its own policy line," the Russian diplomat said.

Earlier, the European Parliament approved a report on the state of EU-Russia political relations, which claims that it will no longer view Russia as a strategic partner and urges to abandon the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project.
