Foreign Office: London reached no agreement with Moscow concerning diplomats' reinstating

Earlier, Russia's Ambassador to the UK stated that the sides had reached an agreement, according to which the diplomatic staff of both countries’ missions "would be restored sometime in January"

LONDON, December 28. /TASS/. The UK has reached no agreement with the Russian side with regards to reinstating of embassy staff expelled after the Salisbury incident, a spokesperson for the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office informed on Friday in a statement, the contents of which have been requested by TASS.

"We have had a continuous dialogue with Russia about diplomatic visas since before the events in Salisbury. We regularly exchange visas for diplomatic staff and will not comment on individual cases. No new arrangements have been agreed," the spokesperson informed.

"There has been no change in our position on the Russian diplomatic presence in the UK, including the measures taken after Salisbury," the representative of the UK Foreign Office added. "The staffing of our respective missions takes place within those constraints."

Earlier on Friday, Russian Ambassador to the UK Alexander Yakovenko stated that London and Moscow had reached an agreement, according to which the diplomatic staff of both countries’ missions "would be restored sometime in January.".
