Russian PM signs order for creation of Russia-Belarus working group

Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin will head the Russian delegation

GORKI, December 28. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed an order on creating a Russian-Belarus working group for discussion of various aspects of integration and controversial issues. "I have signed this order," he told reporters on Friday.

According to the Russian PM, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin will head the Russian delegation.

On December 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko held a four-hour-long round of talks, during which they discussed the issues of integration between both countries, cooperation in the sphere of energy, as well as the changes in the Russian tax legislation and the way it influences the economy of Belarus.

Oreshkin stated that the working group would have various areas of work. He added that Russia and Belarus had already established contact concerning the issues that the working group will be dealing with.
