MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. Relations between Russia and Greece create opportunities for providing peace and stability in the region, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said at negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Relations that developed between our countries remain intense historically. It makes it possible to create prerequisites for creating stability and providing peace in the region and the world as a whole," he said.

Tsipras reiterated that three years have passed since his last visit to Russia. "Many changes happened: Greece found its way and is in a rather good situation now. However, the international agenda continues to remain critical in many areas," the Greek prime minister noted.
