Acting Donetsk People’s Republic head gets 60.9% with 97.52% of votes counted

The election of a new DPR head, as well as DPR People’s Council elections, took place on November 11

DONETSK, November 12. /TASS/. Acting Head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin has garnered 60.9% of the vote with 97.52% counted, DPR Central Election Commission (CEC) Chairperson Olga Pozdnyakova said on Monday.

According to her, Vladimir Medvedev received 6.4% of the vote, Roman Yevstifeyev got 7.8%, Yelena Shishkina gained 9.2% and Roman Khramenkov got 14.1% of the vote.

"As many as 1.6% of ballots have been declared invalid," Pozdnyakova added.

The election of a new DPR head, as well as DPR People’s Council elections, took place on November 11. The CEC chairperson said earlier that there had been no irregularities that could significantly influence the vote’s outcome.
