Kim Jong-un’s sister points to need of North, South Korea unification

GOYANG /South Korea/, April 27. /TASS/. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s sister Kim Yo-jong suggested during the inter-Korean talks that the unification of two Koreas be sped up, South Korean Presidential Spokesperson Yoon Young-chan said at a briefing on Friday.

"Kim Yo-jong said there was the need to speed up the unification of Korea," he said, adding that those present at the negotiating table had endorsed this remark with laughter of approval.

On Friday, the border village of Panmunjom is hosting an inter-Korean summit, the first in more than ten years. South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un spent an hour and a half at the negotiating table before taking a break. They are expected to continue their joint program shortly.
