MOSCOW, April 14. /TASS/. The Russian Orthodox Church will continue consultations with the Roman Catholic Church in order to halt bloodshed in Syria, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia told reporters on Saturday.

Earlier, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church made a phone call to Pope Francis.

"We have an intention to continue in the near future - maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow - consultations in order to somehow try to influence the situation in Syria, in order to stop the bloodshed," the Patriarch said.
