Russia’s emergencies ministry sends humanitarian convoy to Donbass

The truck are carrying more than 400 tonnes of humanitarian aid

MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. Russia’s emergencies ministry has sent yet another, 75th, convoy of trucks with humanitarian assistance to Donetsk and Lugansk regions, a ministry spokesman told TASS on Thursday.

"The Russian emergencies ministry’ convoy set off from the Don rescue center at 04:00 a.m. Moscow time and headed for the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. The truck are carrying more than 400 tonnes of humanitarian aid," the spokesman said.

At the Russian-Ukrainian border, the truck will undergo all necessary customs formalities in conformity with international law on humanitarian aid deliveries.

The humanitarian cargoes include food products, textbooks and study aids, as well as articles of daily necessity.

Russia has been dispatching humanitarian aid to Donbass since August 2014. As many as 73,000 tonnes of humanitarian cargoes have been delivered by 74 convoys.
