MOSCOW, December 21. /TASS/. Russia’s emergencies ministry has dispatched yet another, the 72nd, humanitarian convoy to Donbass, a ministry’s spokesman told TASS on Thursday.

"The Russian emergencies ministry’s humanitarian convoy set off from the Donskoy rescue center in the Rostov Region at 04:00 a.m. Moscow time," the spokesman said.

Now the trucks are heading to the Russian-Ukrainian border where the convoy will break in two. One will go to Donetsk and the other - to Lugansk.

The convoy is carrying about 450 tonnes of humanitarian cargoes, including baby foods, medicines, medical equipment, study aids and New Year gifts.

Since August 2014, Russia’s emergencies ministry has delivered more than 71,000 tonnes of humanitarian cargoes to southeastern Ukraine.
