Putin’s school teacher of German died in Israel — Russian embassy

Mina Yuditskaya died at the age of 96

TEL AVIV, December 17. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s secondary school teacher of German, Mina Yuditskaya, died in Israel at the age of 96, a spokesman for the Russian embassy in that country told TASS on Sunday.

"Mina Yuditskaya was buried on December 7 in the city of Petah Tikva," the spokesman said. "The embassy helped organize the burial ceremony and commissioned its representative to it."

Mina Yuditskaya, who taught German at Leningrad’s (now St. Petersburg) secondary school 281 in the 1960s, immigrated to Israel in 1973. Putin met with his teacher in 2005, when he visited Israel. Ever since, he has been in touch with her, sending her presents.
