TASS, December 15. The road from Norilsk to the Alykel airport, the air hub in the northern Krasnoyarsk Region, is closed for transport because of heavy snowstorms in the area, the local emergency service told on Friday.

Since Thursday, in Norilsk and Taimyr the authorities warn the residents about the bad weather conditions, where the visibility is less than 1,000 meters.

"According to the traffic police decision, the Norilsk-Kayerkan-Alykel road would be closed from 07:30 (03:30 Moscow time) for the traffic, except for technological vehicles," the police said.

Taimyr’s emergency situations authority reports limited traffic at the road, connecting Dudinka and Alykel, with the exception for the vehicles, carrying passengers, who have tickets for certain flights (from the Alykel airport - TASS). The technological vehicles move along the roads in convoys, escorted by off-road vehicles.
