Two policemen wounded in Russia's Dagestan

MAKHACHKALA, July 12 /TASS/. Two policemen have been wounded while chasing a criminal in Dagestan, Russia’s North Caucasus, a source at the press service of Dagestan’s Interior Ministry told TASS.

"According to preliminary reports, policemen in the city of Derbent tried to detain a criminal who opened a fire at them from a car. Two policemen were wounded," the source said.

A law enforcement source in Derbent told TASS that the police were searching for a car from which the fire at the policemen had been opened.

"The number of criminals in the car is being established," the source added.
