Truck falls from bridge on to railway line in Urals

The duty officer told TASS, however, that the railway traffic was about to resume soon

YEKATERINBURG, June 13. /TASS/. An Iveco commercial truck fell from a bridge on a railway line in the Sverdlovsk region in the Urals, causing temporary restrictions on traffic on the Yekaterinburg-Artyomovsky railway.

"The truck smashed the fencing of the automobile bridge, capsized and fell on the tracks," a duty officer at the Sverdlovsk regional division of the Ministry for Emergency Situations told TASS. "As a result of the fall, the driver’s cab caught fire."

The driver was injured and taken to a hospital in the town of Rezh. The railway authorities had to dispatch a repair train for eliminating the aftermath of the collapse.

The duty officer told TASS, however, that the railway traffic was about to resume soon.
