IRKUTSK, June 6. /TASS/. Police in Irkutsk, eastern Siberia, detained a 15-year old teenager who stole a car and led ten police vehicles on chase on Sunday night.
"A Volga car moving at a high rate of speed was spotted in Irkutsk’s suburbs," the local police press service said on Monday. "The underage driver did not fulfill a traffic police officer’s order to stop the car."
The press service said ten police cars were chasing the schoolboy and his underage passenger who eventually ditched the car and continued to elude police on foot.
The car was returned to its owner in the morning while the teenagers’ parents are facing fines for their children’s offense.
