Phone lines down, Internet failures reported in Russia’s consulate general in New York

Massive issues arise for Russian citizens wishing to seek help in the consulate general, the Russian diplomatic mission told TASS Tuesday

NEW YORK, January 19. /TASS/. Phone lines have been disconnected in the Russian consulate general in New York, while Internet connection failures have also been reported, the Russian diplomatic mission told TASS Tuesday.

"All city phone lines have been almost fully disconnected, and there are many of them," the consulate general representative stressed. "There are also issues with the Internet access."

"There has never been such a situation before," TASS was told.

"As a result, massive issues arise for Russian citizens wishing to seek help in the consulate general for various reasons," the diplomatic mission noted, pointing out that "they are trying to resolve this issue through technical services."

The Russian consulate general in New York was opened in 1994.
