Russian military delivers over 4 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Syria

According to the reconciliation center, Russia has carried out nearly 2,100 humanitarian missions

DERAA/Syria/, April 14. /TASS/. Russia’s Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria has delivered more than 4 tonnes of humanitarian assistance to Mutbin and Basyr settlements in Syria’s Daraa Governorate, a spokesman for the center Alexander Makarenko told reporters on Sunday.

"We have delivered packages with more than 4 tonnes of food to the settlements in the Daraa Governorate. More than 1,000 of families living in these settlements have received humanitarian assistance," Makarenko said.

The aid was supplied to the representatives of Christian communities. Many of them lost their relatives in the war.

According to the reconciliation center, Russia has carried out nearly 2,100 humanitarian missions, delivering some 3,340 tonnes of food, water and essentials to Syrian citizens. Doctors of the Russian Defense Ministry have provided assistance for 105,000 Syrian citizens.
