16 world-class scientific centers to be created in Russia

Four of them should be created in the area of mathematics and three on genetics, the deputy prime minister said

MOSCOW, April 23. /TASS/. The government will adopt regulatory acts to create 16 world-class scientific centers before May 1, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said on Tuesday at a general meeting of the Russian Academy of Sciences. "In the near future, certainly before May 1, regulatory acts linked to the operation of 15 scientific-educational centers and 16 world-class centers in Russia will be adopted. Four of them (I mean world-class centers) should be created in the area of mathematics, three on genetics and the rest should focus on priorities in the strategy of Russia’s scientific-technological development," Golikova said.
