MOSCOW, November 12. /TASS/. The government of Moscow will present 50 state-of-the-art technological innovations in occupational medicine at the Medica 2018, World Forum for Medicine, in Dusseldorf, the press service of the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of the Moscow City Government said on Monday, adding that 20 Moscow-based companies will display their developments under the single Made in Moscow brand.

Today Moscow actively exports medical and pharmaceutical products to 115 countries, head of the department, Alexey Fursin, was quoted as saying. CIS countries, the Baltics and Africa are one of the key export partners of the Russian capital. That’s why the participation of Moscow-based medical companies in the MEDICA trade fair is another step towards expanding its export geography, growth of medical production in Moscow and involvement in the development of cooperation in the global medical industry.

The Made in Moscow booth will predominantly present the so-called active prostheses for children and adults. Users can choose design on their own and upgrade it with additional functions, such as baby game applicators, a smartphone-like display, and wireless fare system.

Additionally, Moscow will show off the first anthropomorphic robot called Alice, made by Neurobotics (resident of the Zelenograd Development Corporation - TASS). The robot can read people’s emotions and react accordingly. It can also be used as a nurse, or a physician assistant. Such a robot will be able to perform an initial examination of patients in the future, the development company said.

The Made in Moscow program, launched in the Russian capital in 2016, arranges joint participation by Moscow-based companies at Russian and foreign exhibitions under the single Made in Moscow brand, opening up possibilities for them to enter international markets.
