Russian deputy PM does not rule out joining Russian Railways board

DAVOS, January 21. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich did not rule out joining the board of directors of the state-owned monopoly Russian Railways (RZD).

“I do not take this kind of decision. It has been announced that the government members will join boards of directors. Probably, I will join one as well,” he said on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday. “I do not rule out that it will be the Russian Railways board,” he added.

Earlier Russian Economy minister Alexey Ulyukaev said that top-level officials will rejoin the board of directors of strategic companies. Currently about 40 state companies, including Rosneft, Gazprom, Aeroflot, Alrosa are on the list of Russia’s strategic companies.
