MOSCOW, January 12. /TASS/. Moscow’s district court has reclassified accusation against the Navalny brothers from fraud to business fraud, press secretary of the Zamoskvoretsky court Yulia Petrova told TASS on Monday.
Thus, the classification of the alleged offenses was commuted.
Moscow’s Zamoskvoretsky court on December 30 handed down a 3.5-year suspended sentence to opposition figure Alexey Navalny and sentenced to 3.5 years in prison his brother Oleg Navalny after finding both of them guilty of embezzlement in the Yves Rocher company case.
Earlier on Monday, Navalnys’ lawyers challenged the sentence demanding their acquittal.
