MOSCOW, January 1. /TASS/. Russian Ground Troops have held more than 1.5 thousand military exercises of mortar rifle, tank, artillery and reconnaissance units as well as army air defence and communications formations in the previous year, Defence Ministry’s press officer for the Ground Troops Major Kirill Kiselev told reporters.
Along with a vast experience Russian military forces have already received a plenty of new weapons.
“The Ground Troops have taken into service 36 self-propelled howitzers, 66 armoured personnel carriers, 726 vehicles, brigade and division sets of a mobile air defence missile system Verba, around 1.3 thousand units of communication devices and reconnaissance warfare, more than 730 thousand ammunition and missiles,” Kiselev said.
Meanwhile, this was reported earlier that two brigade sets of operational tactical missile systems Iskander-M were delivered to the troops.
