One injured as fire briefly engulfs paints and lacquers workshop in north Moscow

MOSCOW, December 1. /TASS/. One person was injured as a fire briefly engulfed a workshop of paints and lacquers in northern Moscow, the Russian Emergencies Ministry reported Monday.

The fire broke out at 22:44 Moscow Time Sunday (19:44 UTC) in a one-story building of the workshop in 1st Magistralny Bystreet. Roof collapsed as a result on an area of 1,500 square meters.

A total of 160 firefighters and rescuers and over 40 items of equipment were used to extinguish the flames.

"The fire has been put out. The reason for the outbreak will be established during investigation," the ministry said in a statement.
