NAYPYIDAW, November 13. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Wednesday met with Myanmar President Thein Sein as part of his visit to the East Asia summit.
Thein Sein said he was very glad to see the head of the Russian government in Myanmar's capital, Naypyidaw, noting that it was for the first time in many years that such a high-level representative from Russia visited the country.
Medvedev will also meet his Indian counterpart later in the day and give a speech at the annual East Asia summit bringing together leaders from 18 nations including China, Japan, Russia and the United States.
