NAYPYIDAW, Myanmar, November 12. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Wednesday met with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei and US President Barack Obama in Naypyidaw that hosted the 9th East Asia Summit.

Medvedev is head of the Russian delegation at the East Asia Summit.

By tradition on the eve of the summit Myanmar President Thein Sein hosted a dinner in honour of the summiteers. Medvedev talked with the Sultan of Brunei, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Japanese premier, the UN secretary-general and the US president.

The leaders were traditionally photographed dressed in traditional clothes of the region’s countries. The East Asia Summit leaders chose the colour of their shirt themselves. Medvedev and Obama were in the shirts of the same colour. At the recent APEC summit Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin were in Chinese shirts of the same claret colour.

After the ceremony Medvedev took part in the dinner hosted by the Myanmar president in honour of the summiteers.
