Russian servicemen injured in road accident in Rostov region taken to Moscow

After the treatment course the servicemen would undergo a rehabilitation course

MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. Eight Russian servicemen who were injured in a road accident in Russian’s southern Rostov region on Sunday have been taken for medical treatment in Moscow, the press service of the Russian defence ministry said on Monday.

“The servicemen were taken to the Burdenko Main Military Hospital. Medics say they are in satisfactory condition,” the press service said, adding that after the treatment course the servicemen would undergo a rehabilitation course.

The accident took place in the small hours on Sunday in the Rostov region’s Tarasovsky district. A MAN truck driven by a civilian driver rammed Ural and UAZ vehicles with servicemen, which were moving in the same direction. Five contract service soldiers were killed and 15 more were injured. Later on Sunday, specialists from leading military hospitals arrived in Rostov-on-Don to help local medics.
