GELENDZHIK, September 05. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s industrial corporation Rostec, the Industry and Trade Ministry, and the Rostov Region’s government will create a helicopter production cluster in the region, according to a memorandum signed by the sides at an industry forum on Friday.
The cluster will comprise an assembling facility for helicopters of the Mi-28, Mi-35, and Mi-26 models, assembling facility for the advanced commercial helicopter model, flight-test facility, maintenance center, and a helicopter academy branch.
The cluster will be located in the vicinity of the region’s military airfield Bataisk. The project will create 10,000 jobs directly.
