Bombardier CRJ-200 with 46 passengers makes safe emergency landing in Tyumen

YEKATEINRBURG, December (Itar-Tass). A Bombardier CRJ-200 plane with dozens of passengers on board has made a safe emergency landing at the airport of Tyumen.

The plane belongs to the Yamal Airlines, a transport police source said.

“Nobody was hurt. The crew made a decision to return to the airport of departure due to a malfunctioning landing gear sensor,” the source said.

According to the Urals Federal district office of the Emergency Situations Ministry the plane’s landing gear failed to retract after takeoff.

The plane was en route from Tyumen to St. Petersburg. All passengers will be taken to the departure lounge until a reserve plane is available.
