KIEV, October 4 (Itar-Tass) - A man violating the Russian-Ukrainian border blew himself and two border guards up at a checkpoint in northeast Ukraine’s Sumy region.

“The border crosser died and two border guards were hospitalized in a grave condition,” the press service of Ukraine’s State Border Service said on Friday.

According to preliminary information, a Moldovan minibus with four Moldovan citizens inside came to Ukraine from Russia. During an inspection border guards found another man hiding in a bus. He blew himself up using an unknown explosive device at a passport control area.

An investigation is underway.
