Medvedev to attend school lessons in Vladimir, inspect nursery

MOSCOW, September 2 (Itar-Tass) - Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will make a trip to the Central Federal District (CFD) on Monday, the government press service reported.

When in the city of Vladimir, the Premier will visit one of secondary general education schools, attend lessons of primary and senior forms, and meet with teachers. Medvedev will also familiarize himself with the process of construction of a municipal pre-school educational establishment.

The Head of Government will be accompanied by Vice-Premier Olga Golodets, Alexander Beglov, plenipotentiary presidential representative in the CFD, Dmitry Livanov, Minister of Education and Science, and Svetlana Orlova, acting Governor of Vladimir Region, a press service official said.

School 14 was granted the status of an autonomous one on January 1, 2012. The school is attended by 829 pupils in 34 classes: sports, socio-economic, special correctional ones for children with hearing problems, and general educational ones.

Operating on the basis of the school are five sports schools for children and youth for team sports, athletics, boxing, weightlifting, ice hockey, figure skating, and football, as well as a sports club. Contracts have been concluded for artangrments for after-hours activities of pupils with sports schools for gymnastics, Olympic Reserve school named after N.G. Tolkachyov form modern gymnastics, and a school of martial arts. An experimental work is under way to try a new four-hour programme for physical training.

The implementation of a Virtual School social charity project begins in the new school year, with introduction of integractive technologies in the instructional process and in the management of school, and provision of the school with mobile computer classes.

The construction of Kindergarten 13 was started in autumn 2012. The overall area of the kindergarten will be 2,600 square metres. The building is to house a gym for sports training, a hall for music studies, hobby groups, ten playgrounds. Premises for nursery groups are being provided with warmed floor. The complex is intended for 150 stoddlers in ten groups.

Finishing operations inside the building are now in progress; the territory and playing zones are being developed, an asphalt surfacing is being deposited,and. play verandahs are being installed. The kindergarten's opening is scheduled for December 2013.
