BELGRADE, August 23 (Itar-Tass) - A Montenegro-registered company co-founded by Russian opposition figurehead Alexei Navalvy has never declared any earnings or paid taxes, Milica Vuletic, a representative of the tax administration of Montenegro, told Itar-Tass by telephone on Friday.

Navalny, an activist planning to run for the office of Moscow mayor in September, is one of the founders of the firm MRD.

“Mikhail Yeshkin, the company’s chief executive officer, has never reported the firm’s revenues to the tax administration of Montenegro. He has failed to meet his tax commitments which means he did not pay taxes at all,” Vuletic said.

The official said Yeshkin was also late in submitting to the tax authority an application to register the company in the Central Register of Taxpayers.

Vuletic said that Alexei Navalny, Maria Gaidar and Mikhail Yeshkin had registered the MRD construction company in Montenegro on November 20, 2007.
