ST. PETERSBURG, July 25 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian Navy will put into service 16 corvettes of the near maritime zone before 2020, Russian Deputy Defence Minister Yuri Borisov told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
Borisov was participating in a festive ceremony of laying the first Project 20385 serial corvette Provorny at the shipyard Northern Wharf on Thursday.
In his words, the shipbuilders of the Northern Wharf mainly fulfil the orders to build ships of this type.
