MOSCOW, July 1 (Itar-Tass) - In the Republic of Dagestan (RD), gunmen fired at a car which was carrying, in particular, an adviser to the Permanent Represientative of the RD to the President of the Russian Federation (RF); one person was wounded, an officer at the Republican Directorate of the Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Sunday.
"At 19:45, Moscow time, on Sunday, unidentified gunmen fired at an Infinity car which was driven by an inspector of the RF Rosselkhoznadzor (Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision) for the republic in Khadzhalmakhi Village, Levashi District. There were three passengers in the car; one of them was an adviser, working on a voluntary basis, to the Permanent Representative of the RD to the President of the RF," the police officer said, pointing out that the adviser had not been hurt.
Another passenger -- a man born in 1973 -- received a wound in the head. A Deputy Minister of the Interior of the RD -- chief of police went to the scene of the incident, where police are currently at work, seeking to identify the attackers.
