MAKHACHKALA, April 12 (Itar-Tass) - A block post of the Russian Interior Troops was fired on in Dagestan’ Untsukulsky region, there are no victims.

As ITAR-TASS learnt at the republican Interior Ministry, on Friday, at 04. Moscow time, unidentified people fired on the block post at the fork of the Balakhna-Maidan motor road and disappeared.” According to the ministry’s information, militants tried to break the encirclement organized by law enforcers during the special operation in the village of Gimry.

On Thursday, April 11, at about 14.00, unidentified opened fire on law enforcers and disappeared in the village of Gimry. As a result of the shooting, a FSB officer was injured. Forces of the Interior Ministry and the Federal Security Service blocked the village. At dawn, the special operation was continued.

According to the information of the National Antiterrorist Committee, on Thursday, a group of gunmen was spotted in the mountain gorge on the outskirts of the village of Gimry. According to the available information, one of the notorious ring leaders, involved in the murder of the well-known religious figure of Dagestan, was among the gunmen.

According to the committee, during the special operation, one of the gunmen was destroyed and another one was injured.

There is no information about the results of the operation so far.
