Putin in New Delhi holds talks with Indian PM

NEW DELHI, December 24 (Itar-Tass) — Russian President Vladimir Putin has begun talks with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Before the beginning of the conversation that is taking place in a narrow format, the president and prime minister greeted each other in the courtyard of the residence of the government head held a brief photo talking ceremony.

Members of the two countries’ delegations will later join Putin and Singh.

The conversation with the prime minister is the first item on the agenda of the Russian president’s visit to India.
