Reconciliation Center: over 4,000 militants and family members leave Ghouta in two days

They will be taken to the Idlib de-escalation zone

MOSCOW, March 23. /TASS/. More than 4,000 Ahrar al-Sham militants and their family members have left Eastern Ghouta over the past two days to be taken to the Idlib de-escalation zone, chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria Yuri Yevtushenko said on Friday.

"Following respective agreements, the Russian reconciliation center helped organize evacuation of members of the Ahrar al-Sham illegal armed group from the settlement of Harasta al-Basal. Over the past two days, as many as 4,120 militants and their family members, have left the enclave. All of them will be taken to the settlement of Qalaat al-Mudiq in the Idlib de-escalation zone," he said.

According to Yevtushenko, the Russian reconciliation center helps civilians return to the settlements of Kafer Batna and Saqba liberated from militants.
