Four civilians were killed and 18 wounded

MOSCOW, March 23. /TASS/. Damascus came under shelling by militants from Eastern Ghouta seven on Friday, four civilians were killed and 18 more were wounded, chief of the Russian center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria Yuri Yevtushenko said.

"During the day, the capital city and its neighborhoods came under shelling seven times, with militants firing four missiles and eight mines. Four civilians were killed and 18 more were wounded. A number of buildings were damaged," he said.

According to Yvtushenko, the situation in the country is stabilizing, however sporadic ceasefire violations continue to be reported. During the day, the joint Russian-Iranian-Turkish coordination center reported ceasefire violations in the province of Latakia, Hama, Homs and Daraa.
