VIENNA, December 7. /TASS/. The deployment of the US missile defense in Europe, just as NATO’s expansion, undermines the indivisibility of security, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said while speaking at a meeting of the OSCE foreign ministers in Vienna.
"The architecture in the Euro-Atlantic, resting upon such cornerstones as the UN Security Council and the Helsinki Final Act, is being exposed to serious tests," Lavrov said.
"The buildup of NATO’s potential on the eastern flank, the policy of unbridled expansion of the alliance and the deployment of the US missile defense in Europe greatly harm the principle of indivisible security."
"Deep concern is caused by violations of international law, intervention in the internal affairs, including direct support for government coups, attempts at handling the existing problems by force and the use of unilateral illegitimate measures of coercion," he said.
