State Duma supports Mikhail Ulyanov for permanent representative in Vienna

Mikhail Ulyanov is the director of Russian Foreign Ministry’s non-proliferation and arms control department

MOSCOW, November 23./TASS/. The State Duma’s Committee for International Affairs has backed the candidacy Mikhail Ulyanov, director of Russian Foreign Ministry’s non-proliferation and arms control department, for the position of Russian permanent representative to the International Organizations in Vienna, a diplomatic source told TASS after the session.

"A session of the Duma’s international affairs committee was held, where the candidacy of Ulyanov was submitted for the post of Russian Federation permanent representative in Vienna," the diplomat said.

Vladimir Voronkov had occupied this post before in June he was appointed Under-Secretary-General and head of the newly-established UN Counterterrorism Office.
