A total of 350 food packages were distributed among residents of the settlement of Ajuba in the al-Quneitra province.
A total of 21 tonnes of food products received by the Syrian authorities from the United Nations were dropped from Russian warplanes to the city of Der ez-Zor besieged by Islamic State militants.
Apart from that, officers of the Russian reconciliation center helped to dispatch two humanitarian convoys with UN cargoes to the settlement of Bloudan in the province of Damascus and Telbisa in the province of Homs.
The Russian Defense Ministry declared the establishment of the reconciliation center on February 23, 2016. It is headquartered at the Hmeimim air base, Latakia province. The center was set up in line with agreements reached by Russia and the United States to facilitate the negotiations between the Syrian government and opposition and to organize humanitarian deliveries.
