MOSCOW, March 22. /TASS/. Russia continues the actual fight against militants of the Islamic State active in Syria, while other countries only discuss it, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.
"While other countries are only discussing the fight against the Islamic State, Russia has been fighting IS 24 hours a day, every day," he said.
The Russian presidential spokesman stressed that "it is not possible to achieve success in the war against IS without broad international cooperation." At the same time, Peskov declined to comment on tactics and answer the question if Russia planned to increase its military presence in the region.
"Ask the Defense Ministry. As far as strategy goes, Russia continues to support the Syrian government forces in their fight against terrorists, against IS," he said.
