Moscow’s Basmanny court has sanctioned the arrest of a senior investigator for especially important cases from the main investigation department of the Russian Investigative Committee

MOSCOW, December 6./TASS/. Moscow’s Basmanny court has sanctioned the arrest of a senior investigator for especially important cases from the main investigation department of the Russian Investigative Committee, court spokesperson Yunona Tsareva told Tass on Tuesday.

"Remand in custody for two months has been appointed as a pre-trial measure against (Alexander) Sorokin," she said. Sorokin is suspected of taking a 50,000-dollar bribe.
