Russian diplomat hopes Trump Administration will admit no alternative to Iran nuclear deal

MOSCOW, December 1. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov hopes the new US Administration will recognize that there is no alternative to the agreement on Iranian nuclear program.

"Talking about the position of future US Administration on this document, we, of course, meticulously register everything that is being said on this matter," Ryabkov told reporters on Thursday.

"First of all, the practice has always in the United States of adjusting pre-election promises and intentions along the way of practical implementation of what is planned and what is relevant," he explained. "Secondly, I think that the value of the document, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, will in the end be recognized by everyone as Washington, including those who has so far been countering the achievement of the deal with Iran and implementation of the joint plan for political motives," he stressed.

Ryabkov confirmed that there is no alternative to this document. "I consider it very balanced, containing considerable positive impetus for the situation in the Middle East and for international relations in general," the diplomat added.

"JCPOA’s constructive resource is far from exhausted. On the contrary, we are at the very start of its implementation," he said. "We will hope that the next US Administration, together with us and other members of the P5+1 group, as well as with the Iranian side, will recognize those facts and make relevant positive conclusions for itself," he concluded.
