MOSCOW, September 12. /TASS/. Russia’s efforts to promote the resumption of direct dialogue between Palestine and Israel were in focus of a meeting between Russian president’s envoy for the Middle East and African countries and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Palestine’s Ambassador to Moscow Hafiz Nofal, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
"The sides exchanged views on the situation in the region with a focus on the state of affairs in the Middle East settlement, including Russia’s efforts to promote the resumption of direct dialogue between the Palestinians and the Israeli," the ministry said. "They also discussed current aspects of further development of the traditionally friendly Russian-Palestinian relations."
According to the ministry, the meeting was initiated by the Palestinian diplomat.
