MOSCOW, April 21. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has no plans for having a personal conversation with Queen Elizabeth II, of Great Britain, in the near future but a message of birthday greetings has been sent to Her Royal Highness.

"As far as I know, there are no plans for personal contacts [between Putin and Queen Elizabeth II]," Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told the media.

"In keeping with the customary diplomatic practices a corresponding message of greeting is sent, but as a rule we announce that only after it has been delivered through diplomatic channels. At this point I just do not know whether it has reached the addressee," Peskov said.

Queen Elizabeth II is 90 today. She took the throne in 1952.
